Fantastic holiday in Thailand
Ancient culture and art, architectural riches, amazing nature, vibrant nightlife and amazing cuisine – all this is the “Land of Smiles”. The Kingdom of Thailand, formerly known as Siam, is one of the few in Asia that has avoided colonization, and with it, European influence.
When traveling around Thailand, you will definitely visit Bangkok – its multifaceted capital.
Here you cannot ignore the Grand Royal Palace with the Temple of the Emerald Buddha, the Temples of the Golden and Reclining Buddha. But in addition to these must-see attractions, it is worth breathing the air in Lumpini Park, riding the rides in the Dream World Bangkok Park with many extreme entertainments, a snow town, parades and a Hollywood zone, and seeing the city on a cruise along the Chao Phraya River. Enjoy panoramic views of the city from the Baiyoke Sky Hotel
and climb the Mahanakhon Skywalk, the capital’s highest observation deck (314 m). Visit fine dining restaurants and try street food, including the Michelin-starred Jay Fai. Watch the largest fountain show in Southeast Asia – The ICONIC Multimedia, 400 meters long, with 35-meter-high jets and three- and four-dimensional water figures.
The fountain is part of the luxury shopping and entertainment complex ICONSIAM. Other great places for shopping include Gaysorn Village, Central Embassy, Siam Paragon, EmQuartier and Emporium. Also, visit a Thai boxing competition.
You can easily devote your entire vacation to Bangkok. But you will certainly want to visit other cities and tourist centers. This includes Chiang Mai, where there are more than 300 Buddhist temples, and they are mainly concentrated in the historical center. And Chiang Rai, located in the far north of Thailand, which attracts lovers of hiking and mountain climbing. This is the island of Kood with some of the most beautiful beaches in the country. And, of course, the island of Phuket with marinas, golf clubs, theme parks such as the fabulous Carnival Magic, the extreme amusement park Andamanda Phuket and Phuket FantaSea - the world's first theme park dedicated to Thai traditions and culture, with a grand evening show.
Also in Phuket, it is worth visiting the elephant sanctuary, tiger and bird parks.
In Khao Yai National Park you will see Himalayan bears, Asian elephants, gaurs and tigers, gibbons, Indian sambars and muntjacs, watch 400 species of birds and visit beautiful waterfalls. There are also vineyards here - a small piece of Tuscany: stop by for a tasting. Get to know the centuries-old traditions of silk production at a silk weaving factory. Play golf on an 18-hole course designed by Jack Nicklaus.
Khao Sok National Park has preserved the most ancient jungles on the planet, karst mountains and caves, picturesque lakes. There you will raft down the river, make friends with elephants, admire slow lorises and tiny deer. But tigers and leopards hide from human eyes, so it is more difficult to see them in the forest thicket. In Khao Lak National Park, half an hour from Phuket, you will plunge into the world of the jungle, raft down the river on bamboo rafts, watch elephants and monkeys, ride along Phang Nga Bay on a long-tail boat, admire waterfalls and swim in hot springs. You will visit the protected Cheow Lan Lake, where turquoise water and karst rocks create an idyllic landscape.
And for divers, there is no better place in Thailand than the Similan Islands. During your dives, you will see manta rays and whale sharks. And sea turtles lay their eggs on the local beaches.
