Gstaad Palace is a five-star hotel overlooking Gstaad and has been part of the resort’s history for more than a century. Resembling a fairy-tale castle, the property has been in the hands of the Scherz family for three generations, combining a strong tradition of family hospitality with the character of one of the Alps’ most distinctive hotels. Its rooms, restaurants and public spaces offer panoramic views across Gstaad, the chalet landscape of the Saanenland region and the peaks of the Bernese Alps. The hotel features 90 rooms and suites, individually designed in an alpine-chic style with British understatement, fine materials and distinctive interiors. Dining ranges from international and Italian cuisine to classic Swiss specialities, with venues including elegant Le Grand, gourmet Le Grill and winter-only La Fromagerie, located in a former bunker once used to store gold bars during the Second World War. Palace Spa includes a swimming pool, hammam, saunas, steam baths, a Private Spa and a selection of treatments, while in summer the historic outdoor «PISCINE», built in 1928, becomes one of the hotel’s focal points. Fitness, tennis, squash, yoga, Pilates, Aquafit and personal training are available for active guests. Families can enjoy Sammy's World, while dedicated meeting and celebration spaces accommodate events of up to 300 guests.
Gstaad Palace offers 90 rooms and suites combining alpine design with understated British elegance, while each accommodation has its own individual character. Interiors feature high-quality natural materials, wood, wool, linen, leather and restrained natural tones. Categories differ in size, layout and orientation: some overlook Gstaad and the traditional chalet landscape, while others face the Palace Garden and the Wildhorn, Oldenhorn and Wispile peaks. Many rooms feature balconies, lounge areas and walk-in wardrobes, while suites may include separate living rooms, dining areas, steam baths and additional bathrooms. Several categories can be interconnected to create larger accommodation configurations. The hotel’s signature residence is the 240 sqm Penthouse Suite, featuring three bedrooms, a 150 sqm wrap-around rooftop terrace, a private sauna, outdoor hot tub and exclusive lift access.

The hotel is set on an elevated position above Gstaad. Geneva and Zurich international airports are approximately 2–2.5 hours away by car, while Gstaad Airport is less than 5 km from the hotel. Transfers from Gstaad railway station are also available.
