The Il Pellicano Hotel rises above the sea, in the secluded bay of the peninsula of Argentario, one of the most vicious corners of the Toscan coast. Il Pellicano was built by a romantic couple, the British aircraft Michel Graham and the daughter of the rich American elite Patsy Daszel, in memory of their first meeting in California at Pelican Point. The hotel was opened on 2 June 1965. Michel and Patsy have always taken great care of their guests, and today's hotel visitors are accepted with the same joy as half a century ago. It is the attention and care of each client, coupled with the irresponsible service and the constantly updated level of convenience, that gave the hotel the fame of one of the world's leading.
The hotel complex consists of several cottages and a central building where the reception, bar, Il Pellicano restaurant, Il Puttino Baccante wine cell, shop, conference room, spa center and sports hall. During the summer season, there is a bar and an open sky restaurant on a heated seawater and coastal swimming pool. Besides, the hotel has a small rocky beach where you can go down on the elevator.
