Hotel description
The luxury old villa Il Borgo Suites a Castiglion del Bosco is located near the Ombrone River in the vast Castiglion del Bolso in Val d'Orcia Park.
Exclusive countryhouses are located on 4,500 hectares of hill, planted with endless grapes and olive trees. It is in this place that there is a private vineyard where the famous Brunello wine is produced, as well as the Church of the Holy Archangel Michael, which is stolen by the Pietro Lorenzetti.
In addition, in Il Borgo Suites a Castiglion del Bosco, a small farm where vegetables and cattle are grown for restaurants now open in the former House of the priest. It should be noted that all the structures that comprise Il Borgo Suites a Castiglion del Bosco have retained the unique architecture of the XVII-XVIII century, since Val d'Orcia is included in the UNESCO heritage list: after careful renovation, only materials and paints have become more modern. The villas are at a significant distance from each other so that nothing interferes with calm rest and the pleasure of nature. The stone track leads to the green garden to the open Infinity Edge basin, located on the very edge of the rupture, and is lost in the scent of wild roses and oils. In the interior of the rooms over which the best Italian designers were working, the Toscan style was carefully preserved, combining the luxury of the present with a great past.
Only ten villas, including 26 Lux numbers, are now open to guests, but it is difficult to reserve the number - preference is given to members of the club and to the true pricers of Toscan and her wine.
The property offers 42 suites, 11 villas, two restaurants, a cooking school and The Spa. The estate also embraces a Brunello di Montalcino winery and Italy’s only private golf club - reserved exclusively for members and resident guests of Rosewood Castiglion del Bosco.
The resort's 42 spacious suites fuse authentic Tuscan heritage with modern comforts. Exposed wooden beams and antique furnishings exist alongside the latest technology. Terraces, pergolas and picturesque views are alive with greenery.
The one-bedroom Terrace Suite is comprised of an airy living room, spacious master bedroom, bathroom with walk-in rain shower and separate soaking tub, walk-in closet and guest powder room. Enveloped in warm hues and soft glow of the Tuscan sun, the suite opens to a large furnished terrace or shady pergola.
Eleven one-of-a-kind villas dot the countryside at Rosewood Castiglion del Bosco. Crafted from 17th- and 18th-century farmhouses and lovingly restored, these wonderfully private homes feature heated infinity pools, terraces, and gardens with views of the beautiful Tuscan landscape. Villas boast fully equipped kitchens by Florentine designer Riccardo Barthel and come with a 7-seat Land Rover Defender, or a similar type of 4x4 vehicle, for guests to use during their stay.
The Hotel Il Borgo Suites a Castiglion del Bosco is located on the Val d'Orcia Park, Castiglion del Bolso in Toscan, 12 kilometres from Montalcino, 95 kilometres from Florence and 200 kilometres from Rome.
