The Alps in every season

Hotel description

L'Alpaga is a five-star Beaumier hotel set just beyond the centre of Megève, facing the Mont Blanc massif in the French Alps. Rather than occupying a conventional hotel building, the property is arranged as a small Alpine hamlet of ten chalets, creating a strong connection with its mountainous surroundings. Mont Blanc rises on one side and the Aravis Range on the other. Its architecture draws on Megève’s chalet heritage while interpreting it through a contemporary lens: timber panelling and exposed wood are combined with linen, natural stone, marble, burnished leather and fabrics in forest green, grey-blue, earthy brown and burgundy tones. The hotel offers 33 rooms and suites, while individual chalets provide a more independent style of accommodation. Interiors incorporate a contemporary herbarium by Gwenaëlle Grandjean, vintage photographs of Megève by Karl Machatschek and luminous mountain landscapes by Gabriel Micheletti. Dining is rooted in Savoyard heritage: Le Bistrot de L'Alpaga gives regional cuisine a refined contemporary interpretation, while Le Bar de L'Alpaga pairs Alpine views with regional spirits, cocktails and herbs from the hotel garden. Spa L'Alpaga extends indoors and outdoors, with a steam room, massage-jet pool, Swedish bath, sauna and heated outdoor pool facing Mont Blanc. The hotel is conceived for both winter and summer stays, with skiing, hiking, cycling, rafting, paragliding, dog hiking, hot-air ballooning, yoga and Pilates among the experiences available. Younger guests have their own Little Alpagas space, while weddings, celebrations and corporate events can also be hosted on the property.

Accommodation at L'Alpaga
The hotel section of L'Alpaga comprises 33 rooms and suites, including two adapted for guests with reduced mobility. Interiors follow the architecture of a traditional Alpine chalet, combining timber panelling with linen textiles, natural materials and artworks inspired by the landscape and history of Megève. Forest greens, grey-blues, earthy browns and burgundy echo the changing colours of the surrounding mountains. Accommodation ranges from compact Classic and Deluxe rooms to family-focused suites with separate children’s sleeping spaces, fully equipped kitchens and living rooms. Larger suites feature several bedrooms, wood-burning stoves, terraces or balconies and views towards the Alpine pastures and Mont Blanc. Separate standalone chalets are also available, with residences reaching 255 sqm and beyond. The chalets are specifically excluded from the hotel’s five-star classification and are offered as non-rated accommodation.
