La Cigale Estate is a secluded private residence on Praslin Island, designed for those who value absolute privacy, sophistication and a peaceful connection to nature. Built in 2020 in tribute to the owning family's history of farming land in the Seychelles since the 17th century, the estate is wrapped in colonial-style colonnaded terraces with uninterrupted views of lush mountains, tropical gardens and the Indian Ocean. Inside, soaring ceilings, handcrafted furnishings and curated Seychellois art create a refined yet homely ambiance. The estate is hosted by an experienced general manager with years of experience running luxury hotels from Positano to Phuket, supported by a team of 25 staff including butlers, private chefs, a spa therapist and a cocktail mixologist.
The estate accommodates up to 18 guests across a colonial-style plantation house with 5 spacious en-suite bedroom suites overlooking either the ocean or the tropical gardens, plus 4 additional garden pool suites for larger groups or accompanying staff. Interiors feature recycled Indonesian teak flooring and local badamier and takamaka wood, with handcrafted furniture selected by the owners on their travels; an elevator serves all three floors of the main house. Bathrooms feature powerful rain showers and Victoria & Albert tubs and basins; rooms are furnished with Hypnos mattresses, 600-thread-count Egyptian cotton linens and Granny Goose down duvets.

The villa sits a few steps from the beach on Praslin, the second-largest island of the Seychelles archipelago, 44 km northeast of Mahé. Praslin is reached via a 15-minute domestic flight from Mahé or by Cat Cocos ferry (around 60 minutes); the estate is about 20 minutes by car from Praslin Airport and around 10 minutes from Baie Ste Anne Jetty. The UNESCO World Heritage site Vallée de Mai lies just 10 minutes away, with Anse Lazio and Anse Georgette beaches 25–30 minutes by car.
