qualia is a private resort at the northern tip of Hamilton Island in the Whitsundays, surrounded by the natural beauty of the Great Barrier Reef. Australian tropical bushland frames the property, while its pavilions and public spaces look across the Coral Sea and Whitsunday Islands. The resort is conceived around privacy, immersion in nature and a contemporary expression of Australian island style. qualia is exclusively for guests aged 16 and over, reinforcing its peaceful and secluded atmosphere.
The resort has been designed to make the surrounding landscape an integral part of the stay. Timber, glass, open terraces, sea breezes and tropical vegetation define both the private pavilions and Long Pavilion, the architectural focal point of qualia. Facilities include Pebble Beach, an infinity-edge pool, Spa qualia, gym, library and boutique. Guests also receive an electric golf buggy for exploring Hamilton Island, while VIP transfers are available day and night.
Experiences centre on the Great Barrier Reef and the surrounding waters, from snorkelling and diving to Whitehaven Beach, scenic flights, sailing, stand-up paddleboarding and kayaking. Dining showcases seasonal Queensland produce and contemporary Australian cuisine at Long Pavilion and Pebble Beach. Spa qualia complements the island experience with massages, facials, body therapies, couples rituals and holistic wellness treatments.
qualia offers 60 private pavilions surrounded by tropical vegetation and overlooking the Coral Sea and Whitsunday Islands. The main accommodation categories are the 90 sq. m. Leeward Pavilions and 120 sq. m. Windward Pavilions. South-west-facing Leeward Pavilions express a contemporary Australian island aesthetic through polished timber floors, restrained colours, generous terraces and a combination of bushland and sea views. North-facing Windward Pavilions feature floor-to-ceiling glazing, separate living spaces, private sundecks and individual infinity-edge plunge pools.
For greater privacy and longer stays, guests can choose Sunset Pavilion, Beach House or The Residence. Sunset Pavilion adds a separate study, full kitchen and laundry. Beach House features two bedrooms, a separate guesthouse and a 12-metre infinity-edge pool. The largest option, the 400 sq. m. Residence, accommodates six guests across three bedrooms and includes a full kitchen, multiple outdoor relaxation spaces and a 25-metre infinity-edge pool.

qualia is located at the northern tip of Hamilton Island, the largest and most established island in the Whitsundays, around 16 kilometres off the Queensland coast. Hamilton Island has its own commercial airport with direct services from major Australian gateway cities, and qualia guests are met with a VIP transfer from the airport or marina. Whitehaven Beach is approximately a 30-minute sail away or can be reached by scenic flight.
