Day 2 Cape Town

09:00 – Sightseeing tour of Cape Town (half a day with a Russian-speaking guide).
Cape Town is called the "Mother City" - "Mother of African cities", because it is from here that the colonial history of South Africa begins. Here you will learn interesting facts about the apartheid policy and get acquainted with multinational South Africa. You will drive through the historical center of the city, the famous Aderley Street with its numerous monuments, see the ancient fortress, the first building built by Europeans in southern Africa. Walk along the famous Victoria and Alfred Waterfront. Your excursion will end at the foot of Table Mountain, where you can go up by cable car. The mountain offers a stunning view that will remain in your memory for a lifetime.
13.00 - Excursion to wine farms with a Russian-speaking guide (half day).
The grape region is literally forty minutes away from Cape Town. The famous "Wine Route" usually begins with the closest city to the capital, Stellenbosch, and the second oldest after Cape Town. The "City of Oaks", as it is also called, is comfortably located among a picturesque valley, surrounded by mountains and lush green vineyards. The city is designed in an absolutely amazing Cape Dutch style, white buildings of one or two floors, often with a thatched roof, fit perfectly into the local landscape and create a very cozy atmosphere. You will want to wander the streets and plunge into the era of the 19th, early 20th century. You will come across many souvenir and antique shops on your way, be sure to have a cup of coffee in one of the many cafes located right on the street. In Stellenbosch you will meet large groups of young people sitting in cafes and just crossing the street, these are students, because Stellenbosch is home to the famous University, where classes are conducted in both English and Afrikaans.

Day 3 Cape Town

09.00 - Excursion to the Cape of Good Hope (whole day with a Russian-speaking guide)
On the Cape Peninsula there is the Good Hope Nature Reserve. Having driven a little more than 50 kilometers, you get to the southernmost tip of the peninsula, to the legendary Cape. From a height of 200 meters, standing next to an ancient lighthouse, you can see how the waters of the Indian and Atlantic oceans converge on the horizon. The excursion includes a cruise to the island of fur seals in the town of Hout Bay, a penguin colony and the Cape of Good Hope Nature Reserve.
17.00 – Return back to the hotel.

Day 4 Cape Town - Sossusvlei (Namibia)
Breakfast at the hotel.
Transfer to Cape Town airport and flight to Welvis Bay, Namibia (10.55 - 13.05).
Meet your English-speaking guide at the airport and transfer to Sossusvlei (335 km, 4 h 30 min).
Arrival at the lodge in the evening. Dinner at the lodge.

Day 5 Sossusvlei
Early trip to the dunes, red and mysterious, illuminated by the first rays of the rising sun. Optionally, a walk to the "Dead Valley" and climbing the dunes, from which a fabulous view of the Namib Desert will open. Visit the beautiful Sesriem Canyon, located on the territory of the park.
Return to the lodge for lunch.
In the afternoon, those who wish can go on a quad bike excursion and admire the stunning landscapes at sunset with the highest sand dunes in the world, reaching 350 m, stretching to the horizon.

Day 6 Sossusvlei - Windhoek

Departure with an English-speaking driver towards the capital of Namibia, Windhoek (334 km, 4 h 30 min). Arrival in Windhoek - the capital of Namibia. This is an attractive city surrounded by high mountains, located at an altitude of 1650 m above sea level. Here you will have the opportunity to walk along the streets of the capital. Windhoek - an old fort, numerous colorful mansions in the German style - Heinzburg, Sanderburg and Schwerinsburg, the Supreme Court building, the Parliament in the Tintenpalais palace, the presidential palace and the National Theater, the neo-Gothic Christ Church and the colorful Lutheran church.

Day 7 Windhoek - Victoria Falls (Zimbabwe)
Breakfast at the hotel.
Transfer to Windhoek airport and flight to Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe, 11.25 - 13.00.
Arrival at the airport, meeting with an English-speaking guide and transfer to the hotel.
16.00 - departure for a sunset cruise on the Zambezi River. During the educational cruise you will have the opportunity to observe wildlife and just relax on board, where snacks and drinks are served. The cruise lasts about 2.5 hours.

Day 8 Victoria Falls

10.00 – After breakfast at the hotel, departure for an excursion to Victoria Falls.

The world-famous Victoria Falls, which locals call “Mosi-oa-Tunya” (“thundering smoke”), is one of the most picturesque and enchanting sights on the African continent!
Return to the hotel by lunchtime. Rest at the hotel.
19.00 – Meeting with the guide at the hotel and transfer to the Boma dinner. This is not only a dinner, but also a unique evening of acquaintance with the traditions and culture of the hospitable people of Zimbabwe. The dinner menu includes a variety of African dishes using local culinary recipes and spices, the meat of wild animals is cooked on a spit over a fire. Here you can try a very tasty cooked wild boar and “mark yourself” by trying Mopane worms. No one will remain indifferent to the fiery African dances performed by a local dance group.

Day 9 Victoria Falls - Chobe National Reserve (Botswana)

Transfer from the hotel to Chobe National Reserve (2 hours).

Day 10 Chobe Reserve
Approximate daily schedule:
06.00 - Meeting on the veranda of the Lodge, where coffee, tea and light snacks will be served.
Then departure for a safari in an open Land Rover with an English-speaking ranger.
10.30 – 11.30 - Return to the Lodge, breakfast
Free time, lunch.
15.30 – 16.00 – Afternoon tea and departure for a water safari with an English-speaking ranger along the Chobe River.
20.00 – Return to the Lodge. Dinner, rest.

Day 11 Chobe Game Reserve - Okavanga Delta
Breakfast at the lodge.
Transfer to Kasane Airport and flight to the Okavanga Delta (flight by Cessna, only soft bags of no more than 15 kg per person are allowed). Arrival at the lodge on Kugana Island.
Xugana Lagoon in Xugana Game Reserve is widely known as the most spectacular waterhole in the entire Okavango region. Situated on a lush island bordering a lagoon, Xugana Island Lodge blends in beautifully with its surroundings. The lodge's open "Boma" overlooks the wide, clear waters that form a permanent delta.

Day 12 Okavango Delta
Full day safari in the Okavango Delta.
The Okavango Delta is not only the world's largest inland delta; its unique character is also due to the collision of extremely fertile swamps and the arid lands of the Kalahari Desert. Even on a continent as vast as Africa, the Okavango Delta is one of the largest unspoilt regions.

Day 13 Okavango Delta - Rovos Rail
Breakfast at the lodge.
Flight back to Kasane, where you will be met by a guide and taken to the Victoria Falls Hotel on Victoria Falls, from where the legendary Rovos Retro Train departs to Pretoria.
Lunch at the hotel is paid additionally.
16.30 – boarding the Rovos train.
17.00 – departure for a unique adventure by train through Zimbabwe and Botswana to the capital of South Africa, Pretoria.
This luxury train set off on its maiden voyage in 1989 and is now recognized as one of the best tourist luxury trains in the world. The vintage train carriages have been restored in a classic style and converted into spacious, comfortable suites.

Day 14 Rovos Rail
Early rise, light drinks and tea are served in the carriage.
06.00 – the train stops at Hwange Game Reserve. Here you will have a great safari.
Around 11.00 you return from the safari where a beautiful breakfast will be served right next to the train, which will allow you to find yourself in the Victorian era. After breakfast, continue your journey by train. Be sure to visit the last carriage of the train. The last carriage of the train is the Observation Car Bar. It will not leave anyone indifferent - there is no better place to watch the African landscapes running by with a glass of champagne in hand.
At 19.30 – dinner is served and just at this time you cross the border of Zimbabwe and South Africa at the Beitbridge point.

Day 15 Rovos Rail
Breakfast on the train.
In the morning the train crosses the border and you get back to South Africa. Free time on the train.
By lunchtime we cross the Tropic of Capricorn and drive through the picturesque places of Modimoli. Today we stop in the town of Pyramiden. Night on the train.

Day 16 Rovos Rail

10.00 – the train arrives at Capital Park station in the capital of South Africa – Pretoria.
And here your amazing journey through South Africa comes to an end.
Meeting with a Russian-speaking guide and transfer to Johannesburg airport and flight home.
