Day 1-2

Castets-en-Dorthe & Pessac-Léognan
Welcome on board. On your first day, your dedicated guide and crew usher you on deck with champagne and a selection of hors d’œuvres. Settle into your luxurious cabin, while the chef prepares your first feast of the cruise. Enjoy a spread of vibrant dishes accompanied by fine wines and raise a toast to the start of a seven-day luxury vacation in France.

On

Day 2, head towards the charming Moulin d'Auriol, a 19th-century mill located in Peyrilles, before exploring the prestigious wine region of Pessac-Léognan, nestled just south of Bordeaux. Return to the Belmond boat at the end of the day for a lavish dinner and a night cap beneath the stars.

 

Day 3-4

Visit Saint-Émilion & Château d’Yquem
On

day 3, travel to the world-renowned Saint-Émilion vineyards for relaxed wine tastings built around your preferences. After lunch at a local restaurant, embark on a guided tour of the town followed by free time to explore. Dinner is served back on board Alouette.

On

day 4, disembark for a visit to Château d’Yquem, the legendary estate that has been producing some of the world's most coveted sweet wines for over four centuries. Enjoy a captivating tour and tasting workshop before returning to Alouette for lunch on board and a relaxing afternoon. In the evening, enjoy a dinner at a delightful local restaurant.

 

Day 5-6

Explore Nérac & Sérignac
After lunch on

day 5, explore the Domaine de Lapeyrade, where time-honoured traditions are brought to life in a guided tour and intimate tastings of their celebrated Armagnac. In these serene, pastoral surroundings, spend time in Gascony province before journeying to the medieval town of Nérac – once the cherished home of Henry IV of France. Return to the boat for aperitifs and dinner on board.

On

day 6, the barge will glide towards its final destination. After lunch on board, explore the elegant 18th-century Château de Lamotte Bardigues, enjoying an exclusive guided tour and tea with the resident Countess herself. Stop at the picturesque 15th-century village of Auvillars and return to your Belmond boat for refreshing aperitifs and a final gastronomic dinner on board.

 

Day 7

Disembark
Your check-out time is scheduled for 09:00. After a hearty breakfast, our teams will be more than happy to arrange your transfers to the airport – get in touch to discuss your travel requirements with us.
