The hotel is located in Dedduwa beside the lake, approximately a 10-minute drive from Bentota Beach. The journey from Colombo or the international airport takes about 1.5 hours; guests may also travel by coastal train or arrive by seaplane at Bentota Lagoon. Galle is around one hour away, while Kandy is approximately 4.5 hours by road.

The estate has an outdoor infinity pool overlooking Dedduwa Lake, with the Cinnamon Hill rooms located closest to it. Lunuganga is set inland, approximately a 10-minute drive from Bentota Beach. The calmest coastal conditions are generally experienced from December to April and during July and August.
No dedicated children’s club is listed on the official website. Families can reserve the three-bedroom No. 5 Lunuganga villa, which accommodates up to seven guests. A children’s menu is available in the main restaurant, while mask-making and selected cultural activities are suitable for families.

Honeymoon arrangements include a room upgrade subject to availability, a chocolate welcome amenity, daily breakfast, garden tours, afternoon tea, a private sunset lake ride and a candlelit dinner. The programme requires a minimum two-night stay and is available for an additional supplement. Gallery Studio and The Geoffrey Bawa Suite with its private pool are particularly suited to a secluded stay.
The estate hosts garden weddings and private celebrations for up to 100 guests beside the lake, on the Red Terrace and in other outdoor settings. A minimum three-night exclusive buyout is required for an event. A marquee is necessary for more than 30 guests, and fireworks are not permitted.
