Jetwing Vil Uyana is a secluded eco-luxury retreat in Sri Lanka’s Cultural Triangle, surrounded by restored natural landscapes near the Sigiriya Rock Fortress. The sanctuary spreads across five thriving habitats encompassing lakes, paddy fields, gardens and woodland. Conceived as a private nature reserve, the resort allows its architecture to merge naturally with the environment. Individual dwellings are concealed among the greenery, raised above water or positioned beside paddy fields, with pathways leading through the different habitats.
The resort’s concept is centred on ecological luxury, privacy and close immersion in Sri Lanka’s natural environment. Accommodation comprises 36 spacious dwellings divided into four categories: Garden Dwellings, Paddy Dwellings, Water Dwellings and duplex Forest Dwellings. Sustainable materials, woven reed, rattan and rustic textures reflect the island’s agrarian heritage, while modern comforts create a refined and peaceful retreat.
The surrounding private biosphere supports abundant birdlife and the rare grey slender loris. Guests can join guided night walks with a resident naturalist, follow wildlife trails or explore nearby national parks. The location also provides convenient access to Sigiriya, the Dambulla Cave Temple and other historic attractions within the Cultural Triangle. Facilities include Balinese Ayu Spa, a modern gym, an outdoor swimming pool, a restaurant, bar and café. Dining extends beyond the main venues through private experiences in a tree house, wine cellar, spa sanctuary, paddy-field setting or on a lakeside lawn.
Five dwellings are surrounded by lush greenery and designed with sustainable materials and restrained rustic textures. Each includes an open-air lounge, a bathtub, separate rainfall shower and plunge pool; the family unit may share a pool.
