Tailor-made holidays in Ajman

Ajman is the smallest of the seven UAE emirates and suits travellers looking for a relaxed beach stay within reach of Dubai and Sharjah. It has fewer shopping malls and large entertainment complexes than its neighbours, allowing the resort, beach and coastline to remain the focus of the holiday.

Ajman can be booked as a separate seaside stay or included in a wider UAE itinerary. Travelling times to Dubai and Sharjah depend heavily on traffic, with considerably longer journeys possible during peak commuting hours.

Beach resorts in Ajman

The Yana page currently features Al Zorah Beach Resort and Fairmont Ajman. They offer different styles of accommodation in separate areas of the coastline.

Al Zorah Beach Resort is positioned close to the Al Zorah Nature Reserve and golf course. Its accommodation includes rooms, suites and villas, with pools available in selected categories. Contemporary architecture, generous grounds and easy access to nature activities make it suitable for couples and families.

Fairmont Ajman stands directly beside the Arabian Gulf. The resort has 252 rooms and suites, with many categories designed around sea views. Its beach, swimming pools, children’s facilities, spa and dining options allow guests to spend most of the holiday within the resort.

Al Zorah Nature Reserve and outdoor activities

Al Zorah’s mangrove reserve is one of Ajman’s most distinctive natural areas. Guided kayak and boat excursions follow its waterways, with opportunities to observe flamingos, herons and other waterbirds. Routes and departure times depend on the tides, weather and season.

The nearby Al Zorah Golf Club adds another option for active days. Water sports, fishing and coastal boat trips can also be arranged.

Heritage and city experiences

Ajman Museum occupies a historic fort and introduces the emirate’s traditions, crafts and development. A local itinerary can also include the dhow-building yard, where wooden boats are still constructed, as well as the Corniche, fish market and Al Zorah Marina.

Sharjah’s museums can be added for a more extensive cultural programme. Dubai is accessible for restaurants, shopping, exhibitions and entertainment, while Ajman remains the base for the beach portion of the journey.

The best time to visit Ajman

October to April offers the most comfortable conditions for beaches, sightseeing, kayaking and golf. From May to September, temperatures and humidity rise considerably, making swimming pools, spa facilities and indoor hotel areas more important.

Four or five nights are sufficient for a resort-focused stay. Seven nights work better when the itinerary includes regular visits to Dubai, Sharjah or other emirates.
