Koh Kood, officially Ko Kut, is a tropical island in Trat Province in the eastern Gulf of Thailand, close to the Cambodian border. There are no large towns, shopping centres or busy entertainment districts. Instead, the island offers small bays, coconut groves, waterfalls and resorts spread mainly along its western coast.

How to reach Koh Kood and when to visit

The standard route leads through Bangkok and Trat, followed by a road transfer to Laem Sok Pier and a speedboat journey to the island. Boat timetables depend on the season, weather and arrival time, making coordinated transfers an essential part of the itinerary.

November to April is generally the most favourable period, with calmer seas and less rainfall. From May to October, heavy showers and stronger waves are possible, boat services may be reduced and some resorts close temporarily.
