Luxury Holidays on Silhouette Island
Mountain trails through ancient forest, coral reefs and secluded coves — a wild island the resort all but disappears into untouched nature.
Luxury holidays on Silhouette Island
Silhouette is the third-largest granitic island in the Seychelles, located approximately 20 kilometres from Mahé. Most of the island is protected by a national park, with forested mountains rising above coral reefs and small beaches. NIVA Labriz Seychelles is the island’s only resort.
NIVA Labriz Seychelles
The resort occupies a beachfront setting near La Passe and offers garden, beach and family villas, together with villas featuring their own pools. The right category depends on proximity to the ocean, indoor and outdoor space, pool requirements and access to the resort’s principal facilities.
Dining ranges from Creole cuisine to Mediterranean and Asian menus. The resort also includes a spa and a PADI dive centre. Families can combine beach time with children’s activities, water sports and introductions to the island’s conservation projects.
National park and hiking trails
Silhouette has a distinctly mountainous landscape. Mount Dauban rises to approximately 740 metres and is one of the highest peaks in the Seychelles. Walking routes lead to Anse Mondon, Grand Barbe, the historic Dauban family plantation house and the Dauban Mausoleum.
Trail length and difficulty vary considerably. Walks through the mountain forest and to remote coves should be arranged with a guide, suitable footwear and adequate drinking water.
Diving and ocean activities
The marine national park surrounding Silhouette protects coral reefs, underwater walls and habitats for tropical fish and sea turtles. The resort offers diving for beginners and experienced divers, as well as snorkelling, kayaking, fishing and boat journeys.
Silhouette can be reached from Mahé by boat or helicopter. Transfer times should be coordinated with international flights and local weather conditions. Five to seven nights allow time for the beach, hiking, spa treatments and marine activities. The island can also be combined with Mahé, Praslin or La Digue as part of a longer Seychelles itinerary.
