Compagnie du Ponant is a French cruise line founded in 1988 by Philippe Vido and Jean-Emmanuel Saved, as well as other officers of the French Association of Maritime Affairs. The company ordered the first French cruiser. As early as May 1991, a small three-machine boat, Le Ponant, was placed on the SFCN Villneve La Garen. The 32 cabinets are capable of receiving 67 passengers on board, which undoubtedly creates an atmosphere of friendly communication and celebration on board. The yacht, created by the canons of traditional sea construction, thanks to its size (navigation of 1,489 tons, length of 88 metres), can enter rare parts of the world.
Le Ponant can be compared to the best resorts of the fairy tale shore. Elegant, fashionable and, at the same time, the laconutical interfaces of public zones are available for easy recreation in the spirit of French “haute couture”. Equipment has a predominantly French composition, which necessarily affects the general atmosphere on board and makes the cruise exquisite. The Philosophy of Compagnie du Ponant is a preference for exquisite rest in fresh air, which is why most of the activities are carried out in an open deck. A mere solar terrace of more than 1,500 m2 and a special platform for water sports (wind serfing, water immersion, masqueal dive) open in solar light weather, offer guests time in the open air.
Evenings, guests can relax in one of the lambs. Emeraude Lounge is the main venue for evening events, while Saphir Lounge is the venue for lectures and computers for Internet access. Each lounge shall accommodate all passengers without exception and shall have conference facilities for presentations and MICE.
The yacht is also equipped with special boats for Zodiacsic, which are used for guided tours in remote corners of the world.
