Holidays in Opatija and Kvarner
Before the First World War, Opatiia (which means Abbatism), located in the east of the East East East of Istria, was a fascene resort of the Astro-Hunger Empire. The great old hotels have continued to this day, and the beautiful shores allow for the remarkable species of the Riek Gulf.
In 1954, the Talassotherapy Institute was set up and approved the Office as a rehabilitation centre. The Institute provides treatment and rehabilitation for patients with cardiovascular diseases, lung, rheumatical and skin diseases, and general health care. Today is one of the most expensive resorts in the country.
Opatia has a unique characteristic of giving inspiration. Here, Mr. Maler, J. Puccini, A. P. Chekov, J. Joyce, I. Duncan, and the French composer Jean Charles de Paer, dedicated Opatiia to the Villa Angelina Polka.

The bright virtue of the resort is the opathian langomar ный promenade of a total length of 12 km from Volosco harbour through the park of Opatija and the beach of Slatina to Lovran.
In Riviera, wet subtropical climate of the Mediterranean type. In winter, it is protected from the northeast wind and in the summer from excessive heat.
The maximum number of tourists was from May to September.
The propagation is surrounded by mountain ranges: Uca (1395 m), Snownic (1,796 m), Risniak (1528 m) and Planik (1273 m), the east and south by the islands of Krk and Cres. It is the centre of the resort extending from Preluqui, through Ichitsu, Iku, Lovran and Medvey to the Moschenick Drag in the south. These cities form the so-called Riviera Libournia or Riviera Opatia.
Nearest international airports: Pula (75 km), Zagreb (200 km), Ljubljana (135 km), Venice (208 km). Railway stations: Opatia-Matulia (5 km) and Riek (12 km).
Tourism zones
There are many well-equipped beaches on the Libourne Riviera. The beach is downtown Slatina (Slatina) with the area for starters.
Lido (Lido) is an excellent place for all water sports. Witnesses of acute feelings can jump from a six-metre tram.
Bear (Medveja) - popular beach, 10 km from Opatia.
