The hotel is located in the northern part of KwaZulu-Natal National Park, which is locally known as Maputaland. Here, between the Gulf of Sodwana Bay and Sodwana Kosi is an area that has been declared by the World Heritage Part. The hotel complex was built in a tropical garden, behind the first set of planted trees inches, on 40 kilometres of an isolated coastline. 11 kilometres south of the camp is the diving centre of the hotel, the best in South Africa.
