Matetsi Water Lodge

The hotel is located in the north-west of Zimbabwe, along the border with Botswana, in the Matetsi hunting grounds, on the banks of the Zambezi River, 30 minutes from Victoria Falls Airport. The Reserve extends into 50,000 hectares and is 40 kilometres west of the famous waterfall of Victoria, one of the natural wonders of the world. Lives, leopards, bisons, antelope and other animals can be observed under natural conditions. The world's largest elephant population is over 50,000. In the immediate vicinity of the Reserve, the National Natural Park of Botswana begins; there are no borders between Zimbabwe and Botswana to prevent the free movement of animals. The hotel is a complex of three comfort lodges along the Zambezia: West Water, North Water, East Water, each with six individual terrace, basin and river, restaurant and bar numbers for guests. Special programmes for children. The safari and the tours on the river will leave unforgettable impressions. In 1997, the Hotel was awarded the Tourism Industry Development Award of the Zimbabwe Tourism Authority.

Houses in traditional African housing under the pavement of the cane are tic trees. Inside the rooms are stored in bruise, saturated blue and sand tones, stolen original furniture and accessories. Each room is equipped with a simple bathroom, where there is also a shower cab and a toilet in addition to the bath. Terraces heading towards the Zambezi River and individual basins in the shadows of mang trees create a climate of calm and privacy.

In a cozy open restaurant under the pavement roof heading towards the Zambezi River, the guests will be offered original local kitchen meal. In a bar near the fireplace, you can try African beer from Pondo's traditional receptacles, it's pulmonary cups made so strong that they can pour fluids.
