Program

We invite you to see four countries – Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand and Cambodia. We will experience breathtaking nature, ancient history, stunning temples, incredible cuisine and Asian hospitality. The highlight of the tour is two days on the magnificent Belmond Orient Express.

Day 1 Singapore

Arrival at Changi International Airport (Singapore).

Accommodation at the hotel (Shangri-La Singapore, Pan Pacific Singapore or another five-star hotel).

Rest, dinner at the hotel.

If desired, climb to the SkyPark observation deck in the Marina Bay Sands complex and take an evening cruise along the river. After the light and music show, return to the hotel.

Day 2 Singapore

After a buffet breakfast, a sightseeing tour of Singapore. A former British colony, Singapore gained its independence after World War II, going from a fishing port to a prosperous country. Today, Singapore's five million population consists of people from China, Malaysia, India, Transcaucasia and Europe.

Our tour of the city-state begins with Merlion Park and the Esplanade Bridge. We will drive through the Civic District, see the historical center: the Padang playing field, the former Parliament building, the Supreme Court and the City Hall, and visit the oldest Taoist temple in Singapore, Thian Hock Keng. After lunch, we will visit the Muslim quarter of Kampong Glam, its Istana and mosque, and see Chinatown and Little India.

Day 3 Singapore, the beginning of the journey on the Orient Express

After breakfast, we will get acquainted with the culture of the Peranakans, descendants of Chinese immigrants, in the Katong area, where we will learn the secrets of making Chinese dumplings and take a master class in beading and embroidery.

After lunch at a local restaurant, we will go to the train station, where the luxurious Belmond Orient Express awaits us. Each suite is air-conditioned, has its own shower and toilet, luxury cosmetics, hairdryer. Malaysia floats past the windows. We have dinner and spend the evening to the sounds of the piano in the bar car. During the stop in Kuala Lumpur, there is an opportunity to take a walk before bed.

Day 4 Malaysia, a trip on the "Orient Express"

After breakfast, arrival in Kuala Kangsar (Malaysia), where we are offered a choice of excursions.

We can go to the village, where we will be greeted with traditional martial dances, presented with local treats and drinks, introduced to handicrafts. We will walk along the rice terraces, visit a plantation where rubber trees, durian and bananas grow. At the end of the excursion, drinks and treats will be waiting for us.

The second option involves walking around the plantations where durian and bananas are grown, and tasting local dishes.

Lunch on the train, with rural landscapes and rice fields of Malaysia unfolding outside the windows, arrival in Thailand, dinner and evening in the bar car.

Day 5 "Orient Express and Bangkok"

After breakfast, the train arrives at the River Kwai Bridge station, where you can choose one of three excursions:

The first is a walk along Kanchanaburi and the Khwae Yai River. We sail past a bridge built during World War II. After that, we go to the Thai-Burma Railway Centre - a museum that reflects the events of World War II that took place in Thailand.
The second is a bike ride through the village of Nong Khao with a visit to rice fields and a farm. Before returning to the train - rest and herbal tea in a traditional Thai wooden house.
The third is a culinary tour: we visit a market, learn how to cook rice noodles in one of the best restaurants and go on a boat ride along the Khway Yai River, during which we take part in a master class on cooking traditional Thai cuisine.
Return to the train, lunch, departure to Bangkok, accommodation at the Bangkok Peninsula Hotel.

Day 6 Bangkok

Bangkok is a city of contrasts, where golden palaces and Buddhist temples coexist with panoramic bars, and the dynamics of modernity are shaded by the leisurely pace of life by the river and canals. After breakfast and a short lecture on the history and culture of Thailand, we go on a private boat tour along the Chao Phraya River and the Thonburi canals, during which you can experience the different sides of the capital.

Inspection of temples and the Grand Palace, dating back to the fifteenth century, the Temple of the Emerald Buddha - one of the most important shrines of the country. Afterwards, take a tuk-tuk to the Temple of the Reclining Buddha (Wat Pho), famous for its 46-meter-long Buddha statue. The first university of Thailand was opened on the territory of this temple. We will have lunch at the Blue Elephant restaurant. It is also famous for its master classes in cooking royal Thai cuisine.

The afternoon is spent at your own discretion, for example, a walk along Khaosan Road, where there is shopping, restaurants, and entertainment.

Day 7 Ayutthaya

After breakfast, set off by car to Bang Pa-in Palace, which in the past served as the summer residence of the kings of Thailand. It is located on the banks of the Chao Phraya River in Ayutthaya Province. Walk through the palace gardens, view the architecture in which combines the architectural traditions of Thailand, China and Europe. Next - the UNESCO heritage site of Ayutthaya, the capital of the Kingdom of Siam from 1351 to 1767. Here are the ruins of a once prosperous city, famous throughout the world.

After visiting the historical complex, return to Bangkok by ferry along the Chao Phraya River.

Lunch on board.

Day 8 Siem Reap

After breakfast at the hotel, departure to Suvarnabhumi International Airport (Bangkok) for a flight to Cambodia.

In Siem Reap, accommodation at the Sofitel Angkor Phokeethra Golf and Spa Resort or the Shinta Mani Angkor boutique hotel.

Lunch, departure for a sightseeing tour of the city by tuk-tuk. Visit to the cultural center, get acquainted with the products of local artisans, traditional dances.

Day 9 Siem Reap

Breakfast, visit to a family of indigenous people, get acquainted with their way of life and a tour of the ancient city of Angkor. This city consisted of two thousand complexes and palaces and its area exceeded four hundred square kilometers. Its buildings date back to the period from the ninth to the fifteenth century. Now it is an archaeological park.

Visit to the gigantic Hindu temple complex of Angkor Wat, one of the largest ever built in world history. The temple was discovered and popularized in Europe by the French naturalist and traveler Henri Mouhot. Angkor Wat was built in the twelfth century during the heyday of the Khmer Empire. As Buddhism spread, more and more elements characteristic of this religion appeared in it.

In the evening, a performance in the modern Cambodian circus Phare with its choreography, music, acrobatics and Khmer culture. The circus was founded in 1994 by young Cambodians to develop the culture of local communities.

Return to the hotel.

Day 10 Siem Reap

Breakfast, departure to Angkor to see Angkor Thom - the last capital of the Khmer Empire.

A million people lived in this city. One of its attractions is the Bayon temple complex with 54 carved towers and bas-reliefs depicting battle scenes, as well as the Baphuon temple. Visit to the Ta Prohm temple, discovered by French explorers at the end of the 19th century, entwined with the roots and branches of ancient banyan and cotton trees. This is one of the largest temples in Angkor, loved by many travelers. Then visit Thommanon, decorated with images of divine devas.

In the evening, a festive dinner and traditional Khmer dance.

Day 11 Return home

Flight from Siem Reap International Airport home.
