Byblos Art Hotel Villa Amista

Hotel description

The hotel is located in Verona, 7 kilometres from the city centre. The classic Hungarian villa, designed by the architect of Ignaco Pelegrini, is building its story by the second half of the sixteenth century. However, the building began in the fifteenth century. The facade of the building developed on the Michel Sanmickel project at that time is well preserved. Classic entrance, majesty arc, graceful towers, fine balconies, every element of external retrieval, like returning us to the age of Renesance, transcending with the famous masters of Verona and Venice.

The three-storey hotel building is located in a magnificent park of more than 2,000 square metres, inspired by Janfranco Pager designer. Massive centuries of trees, smooth lawns, walnuts, multiple sculptures and elegant fountains of the sixteenth century are surprisingly converging in harmony with the villa complex, surrounded by new guests with the spirit of extraordinary calm and beauty. The old San Rocco and the Istituto Dominique and Henri Chenot are important elements in this complex. With a complete obscurity, the external cultivation reverts to the artistic design of hotel numbers and lolls carried out on the project of the famous designer Alessandro Mendini. Modern art is the central theme of the Villa Amista, a kind of hotel museum, which shows the art of artists around the world. Vanessa Bicroft, Anish Capur, Peter Halley, Sal Luitt, Arnaldo Pomodoro, are just some names of artists whose works decorate the hotel interior and form part of his art gallery. The reconstruction project was based on a combination of three components: the first, the modernization of furniture, tissues and dykes, was carried out with particular attention to the colours and iconography of the sixteenth and sixteenth centuries; the second, the elements of the interrier and the meblochants were carefully selected (Gio Ponti, furniture of Saarinen, wooden tables and the Rossier of the third owner of Frank Lloy);

The hotel complex includes the Istituto Dominique and Henri Chenot, offering Sauna, Turkish bath, gym andSolarium, open pool, restaurant and bar, wine cellar, and art gallery Byblos Art Gallery.
