The city of Udaypur is the gate of Rajastan province, one of the most popular tourist routes in the country. As the city is located south of most other interesting places of Rajastan, all those who arrive through the country ' s main gates, Mumbai, are opening a part of the route from here. Like other neighbouring cities, Udaypur has its “colour” and is a “white city”, that is, most houses in the historic part of the city are painted white.
Udaypur is often referred to as “eastern Venice” or “city lakes”... Here, on the shores of the living lake, a whole range of palaces will be planted - Maharani (XVI-XVIII V) with a beautiful mosaic, Jagmander (XVII V.) and Jagnivas (XVIII V.) on Lake Picola, as well as the huge towers of the City Palace and the gate to the old city surrounded by the wall.
This city was founded in 1568 by Maharana Uday Singh II, after the Mobol Emperor Akbar looted his former quote, Chittorgarh. According to the ancient legend, the place for the new capital of Uday Singh was identified by one of the monks who often came to the hill at Lake Pichol. On this hill, under the protection of the Ridge of Arawali and the new city of Udaypur, named after its founder of the Maharana Uday Singha II. Not once, the mugs tried to take over this city, but they never managed to subjugate it.
