Mandalai is the second largest city in the country, an ancient capital. This is one of the dryest places in the country, which, in addition to the vast amount of sight, attracts thousands of tourists. The city was founded by King Mindon Min in 1857, and all the old palaces were moved here from Amapura. The heart of the city is the Mandalai Hill hill, where there is an extensive royal residence surrounded by a wall, and almost entirely built pagodas and other places of worship.
