The capital and the largest city of Iran, Tehran, is also one of the largest cities in Asia. Cultural, business, financial and economic centres and transport centres throughout the country are concentrated. Territorial Tehran is located at the foot of the Elbrous mountain ridge in the northern part of the country and has reached almost 50 km along the mountain slope.
Tehran consists of a new and old city. The new city began to be rebuilt by filling new neighbourhoods with direct streets, multi-ethnic houses and squares. The most attractive areas of the city are northern, banks, offices and other institutions are located in the centre, and industrial facilities are located in the south and west of the city.

The longest street of the city is Bulwar Wali-Asr, which stretched 18 kilometres from southern to northern Tehran. Among the architectural virtues is the palace of Golestan, which has been a palace and a Shah mosque for a long time and is now equipped with a museum. Shahid Mottahari ' s unique Kajar Mechete was laid on the Spring Square, built in 1830 and decorated by beautiful gallery with unique ornament.
From the top of the Freedom Tower, you can see the city's panorama and the snowed mountains climbing the elevator. In the northern part of the city, there is the Palace of Saadabad, who was a summer shah residence. Several more palaces and painting parks have also entered the complex. Niavaran's palace was nearby.
