MASCAT - Omani capital. This is a very distinct city with traditional mosques adjacent to modern business quarters with East Colorite.
Maskate is dry. The city has the reputation of the hottest city in the world. June average temperature over +32 C. The heat is particularly severe in Oman in the spring and early summer when the winds of the Rub-El-Hali desert come. The sediments range from 125 to 500 mm per year.
The rocks here are shaking up to the sea, the tidy city on all sides of the natural wall, making its intangible fortress. Oman ' s capital consists of three main areas: Maskat, Mutra and Ruvi. The masquette is the oldest port part of the city that is famous for its palace Sultan and the magnificent site. The moor located 3 kilometres north-west of Maskat is the main commercial and residential part of the city. And, of course, the modern commercial district of the capital, Ruvi, is located a few kilometres from Maskat and Mutrah. Coastal areas, particularly in the north, are the fastest growing ones, as they cover the trade route within the Persian Gulf.
There are three forts in Maskate that are used by the local police. They're closed to visitors, but they can be seen from the side and make beautiful pictures. The Museum of Oman, which covers the 5,000-year history of Oman, is not far from Maskat.
There are many features in this modern city: the palace of Sultan, the old fortress, the same Museum of the Armed Forces, which reflects Oman ' s military history, and the National Museum where the silver collection is located. In addition to this diversity of historical and cultural monuments, there is a wonderful family recreation centre, a large stadium and a large number of fountains in this modern city. But as paradoxically, there's very little water in Oman. This city is a real man-made oasis, because the moisture here comes from rain, comes from underground and takes from the sea. Oman ' s capital not only offers an opportunity to familiarize itself with historical arts monuments, but also all modern tourism services. There are beautiful beaches on the coast.
I wonder if the words "Maskat" and "muskat" sound very, and it's not a coincidence. It's strange that a lot of wine-loved muskat really has roots in Oman. The special grape of the Garib al-Eflb is still grown in Wadi Mistal and Samad Aashan areas. His petty kernels are unfit for food, but this class from Maskat to Portugal has become the basis for the production of masquate wine.
Once you've seen this town, you'll want to come back here again.
