Holidays in Santa Cruz
The city of Santa Cruz de la Sierra was founded on 26 February, 1,560 g east of its modern location on the coast of the Pira River. But at the end of the sixteenth century, the city was moved to its place today, 50 kilometres east of the Cordillera fire.
Until the end of the sixteenth century, Santa Cruz had flourished by supplying the rest of the country with cotton, rice, sugar and vegetables until cheaper Peruvian food had arrived. In the mid-century of the twentieth century, Santa Cruz was linked to roads with other cities of the country and Brazil, which gave a new boost to agriculture and the city during the period of economic growth that continues to date. And the many structures of the colonial era, the soft climate of the anger and the status of " turn to Brazil " have turned the city into a major tourist centre in the country.
There are also many interesting places around the city - the area of dune and freshwater lagoons Lomas de Arena-de-Palmar (16 km south of Santa Cruz).
National Park Noel Kempf-Merkado (440 kilometres north-east of Santa Cruz) with great waterfalls and a great variety of flora and fauna.
anchorage Al-Fuerte de Samaipata (120 kilometres south-west of Santa Cruz, on the UNESCO World Heritage List).
village La Heakernear which Ernesto Che Guevara was killed in 1967,
Ambo National Park and Samaipata Hidilla resort town.
National Park Kaa-Lia del Gran-Chaco - South America ' s largest reserve (34,000 square kilometres).
Municipal Zoo is one of the best zoo parks in South America.
